THE FAR END OF THE VALLEY
Long afternoon shadows, late spring on
Pine Creek, Pine Valley. SOLD
13" X 20"

PUZZLE ROCK
Late spring snow above the Powder River on the way to
Baker City. It's my own name for the rock formation
because it looks like an anthropomorphic
Rubik's cube
17" X 26"

WALLOWA LLAMAS AT
SPRING CREEK DRAINAGE
This drainage flows into the Snake River
just a few hundred yards below
this view. Wallowa Llamas is a packing
outfit owned by
Raz and Louise Rassmussen of
Halfway, Oregon.
18" X 24" SOLD

ON LOWER COVE ROAD
A field of yellow flowers that
may be butter lupine, on
a soft spring day north of
Cove.
16" X 25" SOLD

SUNSET  AT LESLIE GULCH
Not done from a personal photo but I've been there at sunset

and it feels just like this.
20" X 32" SOLD

THE SAG IN SPRING
The Sag is a small unpopulated valley off the end of  our main valley.
It can have a very mystical feeling in certain lights. The farthest
mountain is across the Snake River in Idaho.
12" X 36" SOLD

GOING INTO WOODS
I've done two versions of this scene and both
have sold immediately!

20" X 26" SOLD

 WEST WALL SEQUENCES
Wild thorn-bush, a shrub form of Hawthorne,
crisscrosses the valley along fence-lines and streams
making for very colorful autumns

in our valley.
22" X 25"

RICHLAND HILLS
I enjoyed using a looser style on
this scene of larger shapes
and less detail
18" X 24"

WETLAND STREAM
The challenge was to paint
the transparent moving water
and sandy bottom accurately.
18" X 24"
RIVER ROCKS
A group of striking water-banded rocks on the
Powder River returning from Baker City
16" X 24"

FIELD ROAD IN SPRING
I paint this view from my studio regularly to catch
different times of day and the changing seasons.

14" X 21"

BROWNLEE RESERVOIR
I've been enjoying painting in this panorama format. It seems the only way to really
capture the immense feeling of the Snake River area. The Powder River fills this  reservoir
and flows through these hill to the Snake.
12" X 36"

FOREST WINDOW
A view from our yard
looking through a gap in the trees,
across an old pioneer road to
the field beyond. This
painting is all about the colors.
8" X 10"
